Development Coordinator & Systems Manager

The Development Coordinator and Systems Manager will be responsible for primary gift and data collection, reporting, reconciliation, maintenance of donor records and staffing support for the comprehensive programs of The Center for Discovery Development Offices (Hurleyville and NYC).  Reporting to the Vice President for Development, this position has major responsibilities interacting with donors and volunteer leadership to support their efforts related to special events, annual appeals and other fundraising activities.  This position is also responsible for managing the administration of the Development Office while also coordinating such activities as office management and systems support.
• Strong systems/database skills and analytical skills (Raiser’s Edge knowledge strongly preferred).
• Good computer skills and proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Strong customer and donor relation skills, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Must be personable, flexible, diplomatic and able to operate effectively in a complex organization.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of development and fundraising operations preferred.
• Experience in supporting special events preferred.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of a High School degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and at least two to four years of experience in development.
